2019下學期秋季班即將於本周四下午三時半舉行結業典禮，該日將頒發品學兼優奬，進步奬，及全勤奬。同時並舉行八年級生的畢業典禮，這將是一場隆重的盛會，盼望您能抽空來參加。該日除了頒奬之外，還有各班學生們的才藝表演。每班的老師都在忙碌著學期的結束，預備成績單是老師們最艱巨的一項工作，當您看到孩子的成績單時，請看一看他們在過去這一學期，孩子進步了多少? 您是否也癹現在這一學期，您的孩子也認識了許多新朋友? 感謝家長在背後的支持，因著您的支持和愛護，[ 僑心 ] 才得以茁壯丶成長! 5月31日星期五學校照樣接送丶開放，但是沒有中文課程，因為老師們又要忙碌著接下來的星期一6/3開始的的暑期班。
今年的 [僑心暑期快樂營 ]，我們迎來將近一百三十位小朋友，有的遠自 猶他州，德州和 香港。 暑期的課程 在中文學科方面，今年我們聘請了三位來自台灣的年輕老師。他們帶來新穎的教材，與科技接軌的精彩教學以及活潑的課外活動，許多不同的文化課程和語言遊戲等等，我相信這將是一個非常令孩子們開心的暑期生活。在英文丶數學方面，我們也請到了不同學區的專任教師來教導我們孩子。他們也將使用美國學校的教材，教導孩子們下學年將要學的課業。這一項課程，多年來一直得到家長們的讃許，因為開學後，孩子們不再緊張，心情也就跟著放鬆了。盼望八月份新學年開始時，孩子們能讓家長及老師們刮目相看，因為他們都進步了。
今年的暑期班與往年不同，我們盼望孩子在暑期當中除了不要忘了學習之外，我們也想盡辦法讓孩子們度過一個快樂難忘的暑期生活，所以我們今年安排了許多不同的課外活動，最重的而且最吸引大家的活動是為期三天的露營活動。日期是自6/7黃昏起至6/9午止，地點在 Rowland Heights 的Schabarum Regional Park。如果您沒有參加我們的暑期班，我們也相當歡迎您的全家一起來參與我們全校性的露營。
另外一件喜訊要告訴家長: 6/29 [ 僑心學分班 ] 有13位學生在老師的陪同之下赴台灣参加[ 世界新聞大學 ]為期一個月的[ 中文研習課程 ] 。這些孩子將會帶著豐碩的成果凱旋歸來!
[ 僑心 ] 2019 - 2019的 新學期將於八月九日正式開課，每一位來到 [ 僑心 ] 的孩子，都是一顆珍貴的種子，老師們將細心灌溉，饟我們共同陪著孩子成長丶茁壯。們特訂8/16 舉行< 返校日家長會議 >( 我們將另有通知 )，請您務必參加 。

The 2019 school year is coming to an end and Chiao Hsin will be conducting a Closing Ceremony this Thursday, at 3:30 PM. Students will be receiving awards such as the Outstanding Student and Most Improved Award and will be performing for you! This ceremony will also be a graduation for our 8th grade students so I hope that all of you will make an effort to come. Our teachers have been working hard to prepare student report cards so when you see the results, see if you can see how far your child has come. Thank you for your continuing support in helping Chiao Hsin become what it is today. Friday is the last day of school, Chiao Hsin will provide transportation from the schools and there will be no Chinese class as all the teachers will be preparing for our Summer School starting on June 3rd!
We are welcoming many new students to Summer School this year from out of state students to students from other states. There will also be three youthful Chinese teachers from Taiwan! They will be bringing along with them new teaching materials and techniques to enrich student learning inside and outside the classroom this year. For English and Math classes, we have hired teachers from different districts to work with our students. This will prepare them for what’s to come in the upcoming school year so students can be confident that once August comes, they are prepared.
This year’s Summer School will be a little different than previous years. We not only want students to expand their learning, we also want them to have happy memories by planning many great recreational activities for everyone. The biggest event coming up is our 3 day Camping Trip. This trip will take place starting in the afternoon on 6/7 to the Sunday morning of 6/9 at Schabarum Regional Park in Rowland Heights. Even if you are not part of our summer program, we welcome you to come enjoy camping with your whole family.
Another exciting thing I wanted to share with you is that on 6/29, 13 students from Chiao Hsin’s College Credit Class will be traveling to Taiwan Shih Hins University to study abroad for a whole month! Students will surely learn a lot and gain good results from this trip.
The new school year will start on 8/9 and we hope to see all of you! Every child at Chiao Hsin is precious and our teachers will put in their most effort and care to help your child grow.
There will be a Parent Meeting on 8/16 regarding the new school year and I hope to see you there!
