Note from the Principal 來自校長的問候.......
各位家長 您好，好久沒有見到您了，你們都好嗎？
雖然我沒有常常到學校來，但是學校有什麼事或者是有什麼活動，我都會來參加，二月份的時候，學校在chick-fil-A舉行了Fund raiser, 我見到了許多久未見面的家長們，我非常開心。謝謝贊助的家長們!
4月16日學校舉行了Open House，今年的Open House 跟往年不太一樣，各班的教室都佈置了學生的作品和不同的活動。這一天我見到了許多的家長，還有許多新的朋友，唯一遺憾的是很多的家長我並沒有見到你們，心中十分的掛念你們!
今年三月我去了台灣，見到了世新大學的張雪柔主任以及師範大學的孫懿芬老師，這兩位老師對我們[ 僑心 ] 來說並不陌生，因為自2015年開始，這兩位老師積極的協助我們所辦的 [ 海外學習中文 ]計劃。這兩位在台灣學術界都是極具盛名的師長，時至今日，對我們[ 僑心 ] 依然給予最高的評價和支持!
在我臨回美國前 ，Karl老師和我一起拜訪了[ 海華文教基金會 ]許家綺 副執行長以及三位將於暑期當中到[ 僑心 ]來實習的三位志工老師，三位志工老師年輕有活力，他們將配合[ 僑心 ]的老師們帶領孩子們一起度過一個快樂的暑期生活。
今年的暑假我將暫時的回到學校和小朋友們一起度過一個快樂的暑期生活，我之所以有這樣的決定，也是因為我太想念[ 僑心 ] 的孩子們了.當然，我更想念許久沒見的家長們!
今年我們有幸，再一次請到來自聖地牙哥的Chef, Mr.Dennis Sheeler, 他將再一次大展身手，為孩子們預備小朋友喜歡吃的午餐，因為有了去年的經驗，他知道孩子們喜歡吃什麼，今年的午餐將更豐富，更營養。盼望家長們都能夠把握住這一個機會，因為請到他真的是不容易!
今年沒有參加暑期班的孩子們，無論你們在哪裡學習或者是出國旅遊，我都祝福你們有一個平安又快樂的暑期生活。

A Message from the Principal........
Dear Parents, hello! It's been a while since we've seen each other — how have you all been?
Although I don't come to school as often, I always make it a point to show up for events and activities. In February, the school held a fundraiser at Chick-fil-A, where I got to see so many parents I hadn't seen in a long time. I was so happy. Thank you to all the parents who came out to support!
On April 16th, we held our Open House. This year's Open House was a little different from past years — each classroom was decorated with student work and featured different activities. I got to see many of our families that day, as well as many new friends. The one regret I have is that there were quite a few parents I still didn't get to see — I've been thinking of you all!
This past March, I traveled to Taiwan and met with Professor Chang from Shih Hsin University and Professor Sun Yi-fen from National Taiwan Normal University. These two educators are no strangers to Chiao Hsin — since 2015, they have actively supported our Overseas Chinese Language Study program. They are both highly regarded figures in Taiwan's academic community, and to this day they continue to give Chiao Hsin their highest praise and support!
Before returning to the United States, Karl and I paid a visit to Ms. Xu, Associate Executive Director of the [Overseas Chinese Culture Foundation], as well as three volunteer teachers who will be coming to intern at Chiao Hsin during the summer. These three young volunteer teachers are full of energy, and they will work alongside Chiao Hsin's teachers to lead the children through a joyful summer.
This summer, I will temporarily return to school to spend a happy summer with the kids — partly because I miss the children of Chiao Hsin so much. And of course, I miss so many of the parents I haven't seen in a while even more!
We are also very fortunate this year to once again welcome Chef Dennis, who will be showcasing his talents to prepare lunches the kids will love. Having learned from last year's experience, he knows exactly what the kids enjoy, so this year's lunches will be even more delicious and nutritious. We hope all parents will take advantage of this opportunity — getting him to come is truly no small feat!
For children who are not participating in summer school this year — whether you're studying elsewhere or traveling abroad — I wish you all a safe and happy summer.
